Richard Edwin Bissonette age 22 journeyed into the Spirit World early Saturday morning, May 9th, 2009. Richard recently moved from Stilwell, Oklahoma to Enemy Swim, South Dakota where he lived with his sister Jolene Bissonette.
Richard was born December 1, 1986 to Sophie Cecila Bissonette (BlueDog) and Seth Ambrose Bissonette.
Richard was a member of the Sissteon Wahpeton Sioux tribe and Enemy Swim District. Richard was also Oglala Sioux from his father's side. Richard grew up in South Dakota but also lived in Oklahoma and Minnesota.
Richard is survived by his mother; Sophie Bissonette of Cass Lake, MN, his father; Seth Bissionette of Roslyn, SD, his brother; Elton Belt of Rapid City, SD, Susie and Lance Demarrias of Sisston, SD, Eddie and Marge Bissonette of Sisseton, SD, Tressa Bissonette of Cass Lake, MN, Eugene and Jennifer Bissonette of Enemy Swim, SD, Curtis Bissonette and Shanda Quinn, Sisston, SD, Jolene Bissonette and Wilfred Fayant Jr of Enemy Swim, SD, Tonia Bissonette, Cass Lake, MN, Mason Bissonette of Enemy Swim, SD, Faith Rose Bissonette of Case Lake, MN, and Allen Hardy of Cass Lak, MN.
Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Lena Hayes and Ernest Blue Dog, paternal grandparents; Eddie and Angeline Bissonette, his brother; John Bissonette, his uncle; Jacob Keeble and his cousins; Josh Shepherd, Adrienne and Claudette Keeble, good friends; Courtney Owen and Luis Stevens.
