Thelma “Mimi” Bishop, age 103, a resident of Irving, Texas, died Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Hearthstone Assisted Living Center in Irving. Born April 21, 1901 in Indian Territory, what is now known as Cordell, Oklahoma, she attended the University of Oklahoma.
An accomplished pianist, she was a beloved member of MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church in Irving.
The widow of William Eldon Bishop, she is survived by a son, Henry David Bishop and wife, Gloria of Lincolnshire, IL; daughter, Alice Bishop Fellows, and husband, Stephen of Irving; 3 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson.
Her funeral service was Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at MacArthur Blvd Baptist Church, 8001 Mustang, Irving, TX. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
