Helen L (Hazen) Bishop
August 20, 1924 ~ December 3, 2019

Helen L. Bishop, 95, longtime resident of Ponca City passed away Tuesday evening Dec. 3. 2019 in Ponca City with loving family by her side. She was born August 20, 1924 in Ponca City to James W. and Beulah Mae Patterson Hazen.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Bill and Bambi Correll home. Helens wishes were to be cremated and Grace Memorial Chapel has carried out her wishes.

Helen grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Po High. Helen worked for a time in McPherson, Kansas as a Police Dispatcher and cook for the Jail in McPherson. She also worked for Monsours Grocery and Office Clerk for Pioneer Liquor Distribution. She enjoyed playing Bingo, working crossword books and playing cards with her family.

Helen is survived by her 2 daughters; Emily Terry of Ponca City and Debbie Hart of Sacramento, CA Grandchildren; Jerrick Hart and Sarah L. Hart both of Sacramento, CA. Great grandchildren; Damon, Taylor and Lily all of CA. 3 sisters; Ruth White of Arlington, WA Gerry Correll and Pat Meek and husband Wray both of Ponca City, OK. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, 4 Brothers; Bill Hazen, Jim Hazen, Robert Hazen and Raymond Hazen. 3 sisters; Frances Townley, Bonnie Bloxsom and Shirley Awalt. 1 Brother in law; Loren Correll Jr.
