Funeral services for Larry Dee Birmingham, 75, of Skiatook, Oklahoma will be held July 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook with D.J. McCarter officiating.
Larry passed away on July 9, in Tulsa, OK. He was born on January 22, 1951, in Tulsa to Gerald Dee and Marjorie Juanita (Haddock) Birmingham. He graduated from Skiatook High School in 1969 and was Salutatorian of his class. During his high school years, he participated in many activities.
Larry served his country in the United States Air Force.
He earned a bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University and remained a big fan of OSU. Larry was the town coordinator of Skiatook for 2 years, 1989-1990. He worked for the Cherokee Nation for 30 years as a manager of Accounting and Finance.
Larry married Mary Harris on April 17, 1992, and they were married for 30 years until her passing in 2022.
Over the years Larry received various awards including Outstanding Apprentice by Carpenters Panel, Southern States Apprenticeship 1979 & 1980, Employee of the year Cherokee Nation 1998 and the Jan Morgan Award of Excellence 2007.
Larry enjoyed spending many hours on the golf course, playing dominos and sequence at the Senior Citizens Center.
He was proud of his grandchildren and loved being a part of their activities.
He is survived by his daughter Josi Baker, grandchildren: Taylor Watkins, Cody Francis, Addison Baker and Avery Baker, a brother Dennis Birmingham and wife Kelly, a niece Jamie Reeves, two nephews: Travis and Jason Birmingham, bonus daughter Gloria Anderson and husband Scott, grandchildren: Scott Anderson and wife Cherie, Kevin Joe Anderson and wife Laura, Steven Anderson, Brandon Harris, Alicia Harris and five great grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary and bonus son Gordon Harris.
