Leona (Glass) Bird

July 17, 1927 ~ December 24, 2021

Leona Bird the daughter of John T. and Emma (Livers) Glass was born July 17, 1927, in Adair County, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 24, 2021, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 7 days.

Leona loved her family dearly. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, canning and cooking for her family. She loved to hunt wild onions and crawdads, she also loved fixing them. She enjoyed going to church and serving the Lord. Leona touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jim Bird; children Blue Bird and DJ Bird; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her children Ida Nell Seaton and husband Harold, Mary Ann Duncan, Daisy Duncan, Leo Bird and wife Brenda, Joan Sawney and husband Franklin, Kathy Bailey and husband John Paul, Dione Byrd and wife Ramona, Dwayne Byrd and wife LaNell and Virgil Byrd; 22 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive her.
