John Blake Bird, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on June 15, 2025. John was born on September 24, 1983, to Joey and Lisa Bird in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He attended Coleman and Milburn High School and after graduating he proudly served in the United States Army for 12 years. John enjoyed fishing, yard work, small engine repair, and playing foosball. John took pride in his work ethic of being a welder, and his favorite thing was spending time with his kids and family.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Simone Boyd.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Erin Bird of the home, daughter A’Djulleen Baker and husband Cody of Durant, son Dean Bird of Durant, daughter Willow Bird of Durant, sister Amber Williams of Coleman, mother Lisa Whitmire and husband Gary of Coleman, and grandfather Bill Boyd of Coleman.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown's Durant Funeral Service Chapel. Services are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service of Durant, OK. Online condolences can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com
