Paul Allen Bilyeu of Woodward, Oklahoma departed for his Paradise Home on April 13, 2022 at the age of 81. Paul was born April 26, 1940 to Harley and Zelma Bilyeu in Blackwell, Oklahoma and was one of four children. He attended Blackwell schools, played sports, fished, and hunted with his family and enjoyed life with his friends. As a teenager, he married Jo Ann Walcher August 9, 1957 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 1958. Paul loved his years in the Navy and fathering three children. After retiring from the Navy, Paul was self employed in supply sales that included his family. He and his children were passionate fishermen.
He was united in marriage to Carol Spencer in 1994 and enjoyed two additional children. Paul fully retired in 2011. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, VFW, NRA, and Woodward Republicans. No one could diminish the joy he derived from his family and friends, from his patriotism, or from fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Bilyeu and his children Marci Pickle with Brent Martin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Marlene and Terry Daniel of Blanchard, Oklahoma; and Marty and Patricia Bilyeu of Tuttle, Oklahoma; Christopher and Kimberly Martin of Windsor, Colorado; and Carla Clarke of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Eric Smith, and a sister Nelda Byrd.
Paul was a natural leader, amazing tradesman, avid fisherman, and dedicated father that will be greatly missed.
