Alma was born March 25, 1949, in Hominy, Oklahoma to Delbert and Alma Horton. Alma was the second born in a sibling group of twelve. She had six sisters and five brothers. Alma graduated from Prue High School. She then went on and furthered her education at Northeastern State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education.

Alma started her career in Prue Oklahoma where she taught Elementary age children for over twenty years.

Alma met a young man from Bixby, Charles Willard Biggs. They fell in love and married on September 3, 1969, in Bixby. Alma and Charles had two sons, Stephen Charles Biggs, and Jerry Allan Biggs.

Alma loved to travel but she was always ready to get back to Prue. She loved to cook for her family and bless other people. Alma loved being with her siblings, especially the sisters.
