Judith Louise Bettes, the daughter of Frank and Lula Lucille (Steadman) Meeker, was born August 4, 1945 in Larned, Kansas and passed from this life on August 12, 2018 in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years and 8 days.
Judith was married to William Bettes for 30 years and their union was blessed with six children. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Judith loved Boston Terriers and was all about adopting them. She loved Halloween, keeping in touch with family and friends through Facebook, antiquing and collecting knick-knacks and all things related to Red Riding Hood. Her other hobbies included traveling; growing plants and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lula Meeker and one brother, Roger Meeker and a grandson, Jessie Luttrell.
Judith leaves behind, her husband, William Bettes of the home; her children, Michael Bettes, Michelle Luttrell and husband Ronald, Melissa Jones and husband Bruce, Joe Meeker and Alison Ross, Melanie Hite, William Mark Bettes and wife Nicole; one sister, Cindy Perez; two brothers, Johnnie Meeker and Bob Meeker, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will host a memorial service at a later date. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home.
