Memorial services for Charles David Berziel , 53, of Nowata, OK, were held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Johnson Funeral Chapel in Sperry, OK. Deacon Peter McLane officiated. Honorary Casket bearers were Paul McLane, David Herford, Sean Wilson, Jake McLane, Rob McLane, and Andrew Wilson.
David, as he was known by many, was born November 5, 1971, in Springfield, MO, to Donald Max Berziel and Margaret Ellen “Peggy” (McLane) Rowe. He passed away June 27, 2025, in Nowata, OK.
David devoted most of his life and working career to being a farmer. In addition to his work as a farmer, he also spent several years as a skilled carpenter. David had a true love for the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping, or searching for arrowheads and other artifacts. He also had a love for motorcycles, followed NASCAR with enthusiasm, and enjoyed working with leather, crafting items with care and creativity.
He is survived by his wife, Terra Berziel; daughter, Lacy Wallace and husband, Jared; grandchildren, Denver, Dawson and Bristol; brothers, Donnie Berziel and wife, Karla, Doug Berziel and Danny Berziel; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; stepchildren, Mazie Jenkins, Bayliegh Jenkins, and Levi Dirickson; step grandchildren, Lowan Dirickson and Paisley Jenkins; stepfather, Roy Rowe; honorary brother, Sean Wilson; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by father, Donald Berziel and wife, Sara Jean; and mother, Margaret “Peggy” Rowe.
Arrangements and services were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home, Sperry.
