Funeral services for Clair Henry Bersuch will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Antlers, OK, with Pastor Aaron Reed officiating. Clair passed away June 30, 2020, in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.
Clair Henry Bersuch was born December 5, 1930, in Welsey, Kansas, the son of Henry and Bessie (Rioth) Bersuch. He had been raised in Kansas and lived in California before moving to Antlers in 1973. Clair married Dortha Murray on June 30, 1978, in Spencer, Indiana and they returned to Antlers to make their home. He worked as a carpenter, did heavy construction, and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union. Clair was a member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers, OK. He loved to go horseback riding, fishing, and raising cattle and horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bessie Bersuch; one son, Tab Bersuch; two brothers, Carl B. Bersuch and Joyce B. Bersuch.
Clair is survived by his wife, Dortha of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Kym Bersuch and wife, Cynthia of San Jose, CA; one daughter, Linda McLemore of Antlers, OK; 3 grandchildren, Justin Bersuch and Brianna Bersuch both of San Jose, CA, Michael Johnson of Antlers, OK; 3 great-grandchildren: Jessica Abbott and husband Luke, Ashlynn Bayles and husband Charles, and Michaela Johnson all of Antlers, OK.
