Richard Berry age 87, of Durant Oklahoma, passed away Saturday November the 9th at his home peacefully with his family by his side. Richard was born January the 17th, 1932 in Sperry, Oklahoma to Daniel and Lola Berry. In 1950 graduated Coffeyville High School in Coffeyville, KS. On November 23rd, 1984 Richard married Carroll Eugenia (Condor) Berry. Richard served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1954, he worked and retired from the city of Durant as waste water superintendent. He was of the Methodist faith and attended Roberta Baptist church. He received his certification for water treatment license in Neosho, MO. He loved to fish, work in his garden and yard work he loved watching sports and Fox news. Richard especially loved spending time with his family and friends that he loved dearly.
Richard is survived by his wife Carroll Berry, their children: Kristi Berry and husband Mike Lowry of Mabelvale, AR; Sonya Rankin and husband Tad Waymire of Fort Worth, TX; Kim Caudle and husband Jack of Little Rock, AR.; Shelly Wharton and husband Greg of Little Rock, AR; his sister Norma Lee Breashear; his sisters and brothers -in law Janis and Ron Jones; Tim and Sally Condor; Terry Condor; his grandkids Richard, Krissi, Brittnie, Donny and Wife Mandy, Alison and husband Anthony, Brent and wife Brittni, Clint, and Jack; his great grandkids Tyler, Kaleb, Blaine, Kailee, Adalee, Heston, Halli, Mavrik, Ava, and Baby Pickett (coming in June) as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Lola, his brothers Dan Berry and George Berry, his sister Barbara Ryan and his grandson Scott Brazel.
Funeral service will be at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant on Thursday, November the 14th, 2019 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends for visitation at Brown’s Funeral Service in Durant on Wednesday November the 13th, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service, Durant.
