Billy Joe Bennett

Billy “Joe” Bennett, 92, of Copan, Oklahoma, was found on August 18, 2022.

Joe was born April 8, 1930, in Ochelata, Oklahoma, to parents Oscar and Ollie Ethel (Philpot) Bennett. He joined the United States Army and after being honorably discharged, he received his heat and air certificate. He did mostly throughout his life, work in the oil fields as a pumper.

Joe married Cherryl Boothe on June 27, 1987. He enjoyed going fishing, boating, and going to the casino.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy and Ray and sister Norma.

Joe is survived by his wife, Cherryl, of the home; six children, many grandchildren and four nieces and five nephews. He also leaves behind many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10am at the United Methodist Church in Copan, Oklahoma.
