Janice Carol Benjamin was born March 21, 1952 to Viola Wofford and Dee Braswell. She departed this life on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
She attended Dahlonegah Grade School and graduated from Stilwell High School in 1970.
Jan lived life the only way she knew how, hard and fast. She had a gypsy spirit and giving heart, always thankful for even the smallest of things.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Tyra Karmen Stevenson and her parents.
Jan is survived by her three children: Danya Shantrell Hendrix, Taryn Krystal Stevenson and Justin Allen Stevenson, all of Tulsa, four grandchildren: Jazmine Felicianna Hendrix, Hope Dar’cey Stevenson, Shelby Paige Stevenson of Tulsa and Kane Stevenson of Heavener. Three great -grandchildren: Oaklynd, Raidyn and Benjamin Turner of Tulsa, siblings: Jerry Brown, Mike Brown and Vivian Roberts of Stilwell and Ginger Reeves of Ft. Gibson, uncle: Thomas Wofford of Stilwell and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jan’s generous heart and humorous spirit lives on through her children and grandchildren.
Memorial Services were held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Dustin Brown officiating. Services were entrusted to Roberts/Reed- Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell.
