Lawrence William Bell
September 15, 1944 ~ May 2, 2015

Celebration of Life for Lawrence William Bell, age 70, will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Central Christian Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Lawrence was born September 15, 1944 in Fairview, OK to William Aubry and Agnes Evilyn (Baker) Bell and passed away May 2, 2015 at Fairview Regional Medical Center.

Lawrence grew up in Canton, OK and graduated with the Canton High School Class of 1963.

He joined the US Army in 1969 and served one tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1973.

Following his return home he became an officer with the Fairview Police Department and continued there for 32 years until his retirement in 2005. During his years with the department he also worked on the ambulance and helped out at the Fairview Funeral Home where he also helped with setting up the cemetery for funerals.

Lawrence also worked for Vernon Wichert at the last full service station in Fairview. In 2011 he went to work for the Fairview Fellowship Home.

He loved hunting and fishing and a trip to the mountains any time he could get away. He made many wood crafts the he gave to special people. Lawrence will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife Judi of the home, five sons; Buck and Marie Bell, Shane and Donna Helm, Jason and Sandy Helm, Lance and Jill Helm, and Dustin and Jackie Bell a daughter Evalouann Bell, one brother Gene and Yvonne Bell and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church or the Fairview Fellowship Home with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
