Visitation for David Emanuel Bell, 72, of Enid, will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. He passed away September 19, 2014, after a long, hard fight with kidney cancer at age 72.
He was born July 10, 1942, in Enid, the seventh son of 13 children, to Albert and Della (Chrisman) Bell.
He grew up and attended school in Enid. He enjoyed life and liked to travel - especially to warm climates during our cold winters - with friends and family. His hobbies were camping and music.
As a teenager he played drums for Rhythm Rockers and later entertained us on his guitar at the campground and at house parties.
He was a loving, sweet, funny, wonderful, honest man and will be missed terribly. He was employed in construction and as a home builder for almost 50 years in the Enid area.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; son, Jeff Bell; stepson, Matt Armstrong; extra special cousin, Kay Tarr; brother, Ross Bell; brother-in-law and sister in-law, Eddie and Dian Bowen; mother in-law, Vida Lee Frazier, all of Enid; daughter, Shelly Navarro of Easton, MD; sister, Vera McCleary of Portsmouth, N.H.; sister, Deloris Pepitone of Texas; uncle, LD Chrisman of Nowata, OK; brother- in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Carol Frazier of Rochester Hills, MI; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; nine siblings; and two of man's best friends, Mich and Maxx. He requested no service at his passing, "No fanfare when I came, no fanfare when I leave, but remember me fondly."
