Stamford, Texas – Kenneth C. Beggs, 67, a former resident of Enid, died Thursday, June 27, 1985, in Hendrick Medical Ctr., Texas. Services were conducted at 3 PM Saturday in Trinity Baptist Church there with the Rev. Ron Holloman, pastor of Central Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial was in Highland Memorial Cemetery under direction of Kinney Funeral Home.
Beggs was born March 18, 1918, at Medford and had lived in Enid until 1945. He and Georganne Swaney were married December 15, 1945, in Abilene, Texas. A veteran of World War II, he served in New Guinea and Australia. He also was a member of Central Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Georganne; a daughter, Caron Lindsey, Stamford, Texas; a brother, Clifford H. Beggs, Stamford, Texas; his stepmother, Delores Beggs, Yukon; and two grandsons.
