Celebration of life service for Arnold Warren Beggs, 79, of Medford, will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Medford, with Pastor David Jenkins officiating. Service is under the kind guidance of the Stittsworth Funeral Service, Medford.
Warren was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Enid, the son of Ralph and Vivian Beggs, and passed away peacefully on July 19, 2015, at Wakita Nursing Home.
He graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1953.
Warren married Betty Reimer. To this union, two children, Randy Warren and Cindy Lou were born.
Warren owned and operated the Otasco Store in Medford for many years, prior to becoming the city manager for the city of Medford, retiring in 2000, after serving 20 years.
Warren married Carol Vaughn on Nov. 23, 1985, at First United Methodist Church at half-time of the OU and Nebraska football game.
Warren enjoyed playing golf with his friends, Ted, David, Mryl and Nick.
Surviving Warren are his wife, Carol of the residence; son, Randy; daughters, Cindy Smith and Tonna Vaughn; six grandchildren, Melanie,Travis, Larenda, Mistee, Catina and Jackie; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Roxie Johns and husband Marvin.
The family has selected memorials be made in Warren�s memory to Carter Home Health Care, Wakita Nursing Home or First United Methodist Church of Medford, with Stittsworth Funeral Service coordinating.
