Delois Bell (Burnett) Beavers

Mar. 20, 1922 ~ Feb. 17, 2006

Services will be held in Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd., for Delois Bell Beavers, 83, who departed from this life Friday, February 17, 2006.

Mrs. Beavers was born on March 20, 1922, in Chelsea, Oklahoma, to Charles and Betty Burnett.

Delois grew up in Arvin where she completed her elementary and high school education.

She met and married Loy Beavers and together they lived in Arvin and raised their family. After her children were grown and married she worked as a teachers aide at Arvin High School and retired in 1980.

In 1986, Delois and Loy moved to Tehachapi. She loved living in Tehachapi where she could look out her windows and see the mountains and enjoy the peace and quiet of her surroundings. She loved being with her family and taking care of her home. She enjoyed traveling, reading, embroidery, preparing her families favorite foods and desserts.

Family was of utmost importance to Delois and she treasured God's blessings of her many loving relationships with her entire family; children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, cousins, and numerous friends.

Delois will be missed by her surviving family; son, Wayne Beavers and wife Carol, daughter Mary Hight and husband Cliff, and son Eric Beavers and wife Connie. In addition to her family and friends, she was blessed with special loving motherly relationships with her nephews, Chuck Alford and wife Jeri, Dell Gregston and wife Marilyn, Johnny Johnson and wife Barbara, just to name a few of the many.

God blessed Delois with four children, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Delois was at peace to leave this earthly world to rejoin her Creator in heaven and be reunited with her loving husband Loy, daughter Betty, parents, brother and sisters.

Visitation began Tuesday at 12:00 and continues this morning.

Services: Wed., Feb. 22, 1:00 p.m.
