Weldon Beasley

Weldon Beasley
October 19, 1947 ~ August 25, 2020

Weldon Beasley, age 72 of Washington, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Weldon James Beasley was born October 19, 1947 in Shamrock, Texas, the 3rd of 6 children born to Chester and Ima Lee Beasley. He was raised in Shamrock and attended school there, graduating in 1966. He then attended Texas Tech where he earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Animal Science.

Weldon married Phyllis Reagan on January 25, 1969. They first made their home in Dumas, Texas, before settling in Goldsby on the Johnson Ranch, where they raised two daughters, Shala and Amy from 1978-1998. Weldon’s heart was always on the ranch; building fence, working cattle and living the cowboy way. Weldon later married Sandy Musgrave on June 14th 1993, and gained two additional daughters, Shelly and Lindsay. He then started Hat Ranch Cattle company in 1998, which he operated until 2015. Weldon’s hobbies were hard work, ranching, and traveling to Wyoming for several months at a time in the summer. He was a true friend, a good neighbor; a wonderful dad, grandpa and brother. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by:

His wife, Sandy Beasley and

His parents, Chester and Ima Lee Beasley.

Weldon is survived by:

His daughters, Shala Mainus and husband Greg of Washington and  Amy Hendrix of Washington;

Step daughters, Shelly D’Apolito and husband Jeremy of Oklahoma City and Lindsay Jackson and husband Bryan of Edmond;

Two brothers, Coy Joseph Beasley and wife Kathy of Amarillo and Terry Beasley of Oklahoma City;

3 Sisters, Dolores Reeves and husband Alvis of Corsicana, TX, Cecelia Uzzolino of Wimberly, TX and Patricia Graham and husband Jeff of Amarillo, TX;

9 grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Come Celebrate Weldon’s life 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 31, 2020, at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be livestreamed on our website, www.wilsonlittle.com.
