Cathy Jane Beard, 69, of Stillwater, OK, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Stillwater Medical Center surrounded by her family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater, Ok. A Celebration of Cathy's life will be held at a later date.
She was born February 9, 1948 in Highland, CA, to David and Elizabeth Moore. She grew up and lived in California until moving to Oklahoma in 2007 to be closer to family where she remained until her passing.
Cathy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed being surrounded by her family. She had a huge heart and always loved giving to those most in need. Some of her hobbies were fishing, slot machines, and playing games with her grandkids.
Survivors include her five children, John Johnson of Oklahoma, Cindy Tate of Missouri, Teresa Calhoun and husband Rory of Stillwater, OK, Carl Beard and wife Melody of Perkins, OK, and Katherine Beard-Miller and husband James of Arkadelphia, AR; 21 grandchildren, Carl Beard, Jr., Marie Beard, Candice Tate, Cameron Tate, Amanda Tate, Steven Tate, Marianneris Goforth, Dovie Johnson, Roxann Johnson, Brittanie Hernandez, Mike Hernandez, Eric Hernandez, Daniel Hernandez, Andrea Dawes, Briana Beard, Savannah Beard Miller, David McCurry, Mark Edman, Zachary Miller, Kassidee Goforth, Tita Hernandez; 8 great-grandchildren, other extended family, and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.
