While working as secretary and librarian Barbara also was a much-beloved chaperone to many thousands of students in the award-winning PHS Ram Band on scores of trips across the state, the country and to Mexico. John Bealmear passed away July 25, 1987 while attending a band related event with Barbara and students in Denver, Colorado.
