Janis Helen (Van Horn) Baustert

March 26, 1945 ~ December 3, 2017

Janis Helen Baustert, 72, passed from her earthly home at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City, OK on December 3, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Janis was born in Elk City, OK on March 26, 1945 to Orville E. and Minnie May (Foster) Van Horn. At the age of 1, her family moved to Kingfisher, OK where she made her home until her death.

Janis married Donald Ray Kale In November 1960 and had children, Tim and Beth Kale. She married Stephen Baustert on December 14, 1968 and had children Stevi and Paige Baustert.

Janis spent her life working as a Beautician and an arrangement artist at the Flower Garden In Kingfisher, OK. Though, she was, first and foremost a wife, mother and grandmother.

She enjoyed being with family and watching her children and grandchildren play sporting events. This ranged from basketball, football, softball, and gymnastics. She was a true leader of her family and adored cooking and spending as much time as possible with them. Janis was a member of the St. Joseph Parish in Hennessey, OK. She spent many of her years in service as a choir member and a member of the Altar Society in the church.

Janis Is survived by husband Stephen of the home, children Tim Kale and wife Pearl of Dover, OK, Beth Hajek of Hennessey, OK, Stevi Vinson of Edmond, OK, and Paige Baustert of Kingfisher, OK. Grandchildren, Kelsey Nelson and husband Keith of Fairview, OK, Blake Victor and wife Lisa of Dover, OK, Megan Victor of Edmond, OK, Kale Hajek and wife Lyndsay of Kansas City, MO, Raegan Hajek of Hennessey, OK, Jaci Bollenbach of Edmond, OK,. Loren Ballard of Kingfisher, OK, Presley and Kennedy Williams and Reece Vinson of Edmond, OK. Six great grandchildren and sister, Fay Ruth (Kitty) of Kingfisher, OK. Multiple brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Karen Van Horn, Donald Ray Kale and grandson Tyrel Victor
