1958 ~ May 7, 2018

Matthew H. Bauer, age 59, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home in Topeka, Kansas.

Matthew was born in 1958 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, the son of Robert D. Bauer and Carolyn Mendenhall Bauer. He graduated from Sooner High School in 1977, and Oklahoma State University in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Robert D. Bauer Jr., and his foster parents Milton and Velma Phillips.

He is survived by his two sons, Wesley of Topeka, Kansas, Michael of Huntsville, Alabama, and nieces and nephews across the country.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society in Topeka in memory of Matt.
