Marvin Leon Batterman
October 18, 1947 ~ July 1, 2021

Celebration of Life Service for Marvin Batterman will be Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Enid First Assembly of God Church, with Pastors Dan Barrick and Bradley Barrick officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation with the family will be Monday, 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Marvin was born on October 18, 1947, in Syracuse, Kansas, to Marion and Delcea (Hart) Batterman and passed away on July 1, 2021, in Oklahoma City.

He grew up in Fairview and Enid and graduated from Enid High School in 1965. Marvin went to OSU and then served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Vietnam. On June 7, 1969, he married Cheryl Hobbs in Enid, where they made their home.

Marvin worked various jobs before going to work at Vance Air Force Base, where he retired after many years of service. He was a member of Enid First Assembly of God Church, where he served as treasurer for over 20 years. Marvin enjoyed golfing, pickleball, fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Cheryl; children and their spouses, Heidi and Eric Fisher and Barry and Tara Batterman; seven grandchildren, Scott, Hollyann (Brady), Reid, Park, Blake, Knox, Steven; one great-granddaughter, Brinlee; two sisters, Eileen Crites and Glenda Martel; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Enid First Assembly of God-Peru Missions. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.
