William L. "Bill" Batchelder
December 06, 1944 ~ March 10, 2019

William L. "Bill" Batchelder was born December 6, 1944 in Lubbock, TX to Sidney Leroy and Muriel (Spencer) Batchelder and died March 10, 2019 at The Commons in Enid.

In 1964, Bill entered the Army National Guard, stationed with the 45th Division in Enid and continued his service to our Country until 1970. On December 18, 1965, he married Jackie Roberts at Davis Park Christian Church in Enid. They recently celebrated 53 years of marriage.

Bill began his career as a mechanical contractor while working for his father at Batchelder Plumbing, Heating and Air. Upon his father's passing, he bought the company and continued as owner/operator for over fifty years. He also owned and operated Lewis Dog Boots for over twenty-two years.

Bill was a member of the Grand National Quail Hunt, Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasant Run Men's Association and was a charter member of Oakwood Christian Church.

He enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, hunting, golfing and trap shooting but nothing compared to his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney and step-mother, Juanita Batchelder.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jackie; sons, Todd Batchelder and wife, Karla, of Enid; Jason Batchelder of Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law, Shannon Mick of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Kane Batchelder and wife, Haley and their child, Rowan; William Batchelder; Jack Batchelder; Dax Batchelder; siblings, Rick Batchelder and wife, Cindy; Michelle Druitt; Wilken Batchelder and wife, Lynn; Sherri Hladik and husband, Butch as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family.

The memorial service for Bill will be 2:00pm Friday, March 15, 2019 at Oakwood Christian Church with Dr. R. Joe Wilson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be given through the funeral home to either Special Care, Inc. or Oklahoma Autism Network.
