Services for Dewey Bassinger, 84, of Lewisville, Texas, were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 15, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, Lewisville. Interment was held at the Old Hall Cemetery, Lewisville.
Born January 6, 1924 in Lewisville, the son of David Dewey Bassinger and Lillie Mae Wallace Bassinger, he died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 in Lewisville.
Mr. Bassinger served in the United States Army during World War II. He and Wanda Bogle were married December 21, 1948 at Gainesville, Texas. He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as a computer programmer for Taylor Publishing Company in Dallas.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda of the home; a daughter, Glenda Revert of Lewisville; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Yvonne Bassinger of Lewisville; sister, Emma Belle Smith of Marietta; grandchildren, Blair Capps and husband, Jeff, Reid Bassinger, Ross Bassinger, Jake Gravley and wife, Karen, and Toni Howrilka; great-grandchildren, Ella, Noah and Dominick.
