Robert Hardin Baskett

Robert Hardin Baskett
July 14, 1918 ~ December 5, 2012 (age 94)

Baskett, R. Hardin, 94, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in Norman, Oklahoma.  He was born July 14, 1918 in Fisherville, Kentucky to Pleasant and Roberta (Lea) Baskett.  He married Lillian P. Brumley, September 12, 1936.

Hardin was a laboratory technician for Kentucky Artificial Breeding Association for 35 years before retiring in 1983.  

Hardin was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 63 years.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and growing flowers for his wife, Lillian.  He was active in church and was a Deacon of Fisherville Church of Christ.  

Hardin is survived by his daughter, Bobby Anderson of Norman; one granddaughter, Allison Lea Timberlake and husband Bryan of Edmond; three great grandchildren, Reed, Lauren and Sam Timberlake; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian P. Brumley Baskett; seven brothers and their spouses.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Norman Senior Citizens Center, 329 S. Peters, Norman.  There will be a Masonic Funeral conducted by John Holman.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
