Chris William Barten Jr, 55, passed away July 10th, 2019, at his home in Oklahoma City.
Chris had a kind heart and loved helping others. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and playing games with family and friends.
Chris graduated from Classen High School in 1982 and went on to serve in the US Navy Seabees for three years, which included one year at sea in Spain.
Chris is preceded in death by his brother Marty Barten. He is survived by his parents Chris and Zoe Barten of Oklahoma City, three wonderful sisters; Pam Barten, Kellie Kiser, and Becky Barr, his ex-wife and friend Liz Barten, and their sons Dan and Luke Barten.
Chris was blessed with a large family that loved him dearly, which included many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
For the past two years, Chris has worked at Homeland and made many friends there. The family would like to thank his friends for all their kindness, love, and support.
Thank you to his work family at Homeland and the staff at Buchanan Funeral Service for all their help.
Memorial Services will be held at Mayfair Church of Christ, Monday, July 15th, at 11:00 a.m.
