Justin Dean Barry was born November 5, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Martha Mae (Dyer) and Lyle Dean Barry. He passed away September 2, 2018 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 49 years, 9 months and 28 days.
Justin grew up in Carter, Oklahoma and Meredosia, Illinois before graduating high school from Carter High School in 1987. After graduation he attended bull fighting school in Mesquite, Texas and furthered his education at Redlands Community College where he was pursuing a degree in equine science. Justin did a lot of traveling before he settled back in the Carter area in the early 90's. Upon returning to western Oklahoma he worked for Carter and Merritt Schools as a janitor. He later found himself in the mountains of Wyoming guiding hunts for big game. In 1998 he returned and began working for Jimmy and Todd Horn as a carpenter and up until present working for Beutler and Sons Rodeo Company. Justin's biggest love in life was being a bull fighter but he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends telling stories.
He is preceded in death by his parents and maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his 3 children, Justine Barry, Carter, OK, Lyle Barry, Carter, OK and Wyatt Barry, Foss, OK; 1 grandson, Rance Barry, Mangum, OK; 1 sister, Lori Lovelace and husband, Shawn, Mustang, OK; very special aunt, Charlene Dyer, Carter, OK; nieces, Jaeda Cook, Elk City, OK and Jera McMichael, Elk City, OK; nephew, Gunnar Cook, Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, 1:00 PM at Carter First Baptist Church officiated by Bro. Kelly Smith. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery Funeral Service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Whinery Funeral Service to help defer the family's expenses.
