Keaton Lucas Barrón was born to proud parents Luke and Holly Barrón on March 21, 2010. After a five and a half year battle with leukemia, Keaton passed away at home on May 11, 2018. Keaton was an amazing child full of love, joy, courage, and kindness. He was an example of maturity, strength, and positivity to everyone he met, including the amazing staff at the Jimmy Everest Center and OU Children's Hospital who worked so hard to care for this precious child.
Keaton is survived by his parents, Luke and Holly, and two brothers, Reid and Holden. Other family includes grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Barrón of Schertz, Texas, and Dave and Jenny Webster of Edmond, great-grandparents Tom and Helen Klein of Enid, James and Peggy Perry of Centreville, Alabama, and Dorothy Barrón of Austin, Texas. Keaton's aunts and uncles are Julie and Paul Heerwagen, Jessica and Jason Mood, and Aaron Barrón, and his cousins are Logan and Kaleb Tristan, Hannah and LP Heerwagen, and Isabella and Jack Mood. Keaton was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Lucas Barrón, and great grandparents LaVern and Nancy Webster.
Keaton lived a courageous life of spreading joy and kindness. To honor Keaton's memory, the family asks for donations to Keaton's "K Club," which spreads Keaton's mission of kindness, caring, compassion, and courage by performing kind deeds for others.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on 2018-05-16 at Smith & Kernke Funeral Directors, 14624 North May Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK, USA.
A viewing (wake) will be held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM on 2018-05-16 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 2001 North Western Avenue, Edmond, OK, USA.
A mass of christian burial will be held at 10:00 AM on 2018-05-17 at St. Monica Catholic Church, 2001 North Western Avenue, Edmond, OK, USA.
