Carole Elaine (Pinkell) Barney
Tuesday, February 20th, 1940 ~ Sunday, February 5th, 2023

A Memorial Service for Carole Elaine Barney, age 82, of Enid, will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Edmison officiating. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home & Crematory.

Carole passed away after a long battle with a terminal illness on Sunday, February 5, 2023, surrounded by her children. Carole was born February 20, 1940, in Los Angeles, California to Albert and Dorothy Pinkel. She married Paul Barney in October of 1970. She has been an Enid resident since 1957. She worked at Parkview Radiology for over 30 years, and then following retirement, she enjoyed working part-time at Jumbo Foods where she loved interacting with people. She loved animals and she showed it by donating to one of her favorite charities, Enid SPCA; however, she frequently donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as well. Most of all, she enjoyed staying busy and socializing with her friends.

Carole is preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband Paul, to whom she was married for over 25 years; two daughters, Kathy Dotson, of Loveland, CO; Janet Howell, of Enid; five sons, Kenneth Dotson and wife Zina, of Shubert, NE; Kevin Dotson and wife Diane, of Earlesboro, OK; Kory Dotson, of Enid; Paul Barney and wife Kelly, and Kyle Dotson and wife Patty, all of Springfield, IL. Surviving Carole are thirteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, which brought great happiness to her life.

Memorial contributions in Carole’s name may be made to her two favorite charities, Enid SPCA and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made, memories shared, and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
