Darrell Dotson Barnett was born November 3, 1940 to William Dotson and Syble Marie Barnett in Depew, Oklahoma. He departed this life September 22, 2020 at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 19 days.
On March 29, 1959 Darrell Barnett and Charline Butts were united in marriage. From this union were born three children, Darrell Duwayne, Ellen Yvonne and Angela Renee’.
He worked many years in the oilfield before retiring from Pound drilling. He enjoyed camping, reading and traveling however, his true colors came out when he was able to spend time with his family. He especially enjoyed his time with the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charline Barnett; three children, Darrell Duwayne Barnett and wife Jeanene, Ellen Yvonne “Sissy” Freeze and husband Calvin, Angela Renee’ Hanshaw and husband Joseph; five siblings, Evelyn Cheatwood and husband Don, Ralph Barnett and wife Trudi, Jim Barnett, Marilyn Hight, David Barnett and wife Ellen; seven grandchildren, Cyndi, Danny, Darrell, Laura, Camden, Tye and Kayla; twelve great grandchildren, Holle, Nick, Kyleigh, MaKaylelah, Steven, Ethan, Lynnsey, Bryce, Jessie, Cody, Cashton and Caleb. He was preceded in death by his parents, one great grandson, Joseph Daniel McGuire and one sister, Charlene Fairchild.
There will be a public viewing on Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held privately at 11:00a.m Monday,
