OKLAHOMA CITY - Memorial Service for Tyler Barnes, formerly of Enid, is 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018, at Enid First Assembly of God Church.

Tyler Blake Barnes

Memorial service celebrating the life of Tyler Blake Barnes, 26, of Oklahoma City, will be 2:00 PM, Monday, at Enid First Assembly of God Church with Pastors, Dan Barrick, BJ Barrick, and Jim Moss officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

Tyler was born to Marty J. and Becky Barnes on October 28, 1991, in Enid, and passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Oklahoma City.

Tyler grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. He attended Southern Nazarene University, and University of Central Oklahoma. Tyler had a heart of gold. He loved his family, his dog Titus, and his many friends. He was a great athlete his whole life, playing football, baseball and going to the gym. Next to food, music and the beach were some of his favorite things. Tyler carried light wherever he went with his colorful, busy style and his laugh. He worked at Hobby Lobby in Yukon, and for Drilltech as a pipefitter inspector. Tyler loved kids and giving back. He grew his hair to donate it to Locks of Love.

Tyler is survived by his parents Marty and Becky Barnes of Oklahoma City; sister Amber Barnes of Yukon; grandparents Jenny Briggs (Jerry) of Enid; aunts and uncles Sherri & Mike Blalock of Joplin, Missouri, Joni & Del Johnson of Oologah, Christi Adams of Tahlequah; cousins Brittany, Ashley, Candace, Chaz, and Alisha; many friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to SPCA.
