Randall Scott Barnard
September 8, 1971 ~ October 12, 2019

Celebration of Life with Lunch on the Grounds for Randall Scott Barnard, 48, will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Major County Historical Society. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Randall Scott Barnard was born September 8, 1971 at the Fairview Hospital to Beryl Karl and Carolyn Jean (Wichert) Barnard. Randall grew up on the farm northwest of Fairview and attended Fairview Public Schools, graduating in 1990. While in high school he participated in FFA, especially livestock showing, received the State and National FFA Degrees and national proficiency recognition.

The family farm was in his heart; agriculture defined him – a family heritage which he continued, his current responsibilities on the family farm, his job, and his hobby. In addition to managing a cattle herd, Randall was employed in service at Western Equipment in Alva.

Randall was a member of the Major County Cattlemen’s Association, OK 2-Cylinder Club and annually took an active part in one of the world’s largest actual working threshing expositions known as the Major County Threshing Bee and Two-Cylinder Show in Fairview. In his youth, he attended Cedar Springs Nazarene Church and later worshipped at Emmanuel Baptist, Enid, OK. He had a deep understanding of the God who loved him, saved him and welcomed him into Heaven on the afternoon of October 12, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Coy and Ruby Barnard and Clarence and Dorothy Wichert; Randall is survived by his only sibling, JaNae Barnard.

Memorials may be made to the Major County Historical Society with Fairview Funeral Home acting as custodian.
