Mass Services for Patrick Michael Barlow, 69, of Allen Oklahoma are at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 9 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ada.

Mr. Barlow passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his home. He was born February 27, 1947 in Balbriggan, County of Dublin, Republic of Ireland to Daniel and Elizabeth Ann Kennedy Barlow.

Patrick graduated with multiple degrees including a Master of Theology from St. Patrick's University, Maynooth, Ireland. During the course of his studies he served as secondary school teacher at the Salesian High School, Ballinakill, County Laois, Ireland. During the summers he was employed in youth ministry working as a camp counselor. He was a Roman Catholic Priest from 9/72-9/87 and traveled to various countries including England, Scotland, Wales, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of South Africa, Transki, and Canada. He was also fluent in seven different languages. His first assignment, after ordination to the priesthood, was to serve as assistant pastor at St. Luke's Mission, in the Kingdom of Lesotho, Southern Africa which included teaching English and religious studies in St. Boniface High School, serving as assistant business manager and bursar for the mission. Later pastoral assignments brought him to the U.S. where he served in the Diocese of St. Petersburg and the Archdiocese of Miami.

Patrick was survived by his long time friend and caregiver Ronnie Stevenson of Allen. One sister, Rita Fanning of Balbriggan, Ireland. Several neices and nephews of Balbriggan and Portadown, Ireland.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Angela, Elizabeth and Evelyn, his brothers, Vincent, Hugh, Daniel, Gerald (Gerry), and one sister that died at birth.
