Leona Barley

July 11, 1934 ~ Jul 10, 2002

DUMAS - Leona Barley, 67, died Wednesday, July 10, 2002.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Jay McGaughy, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Barley was born July 11, 1934, in Sasawka, Okla. She was a Dumas resident since 1951. She worked in the maintenance department at the Postal Service in Dumas for five years. She married Paul R. Barley on May 26, 1952, in Charleston, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 24, 2000; her parents; three sisters, Alma, Mollie and Betty Jo; and two brothers, Sonny and W.J.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Boyd and husband, Lawrence, of Dumas; a son, the Rev. Tommy Paul Barley and wife, Kelly, of Arlington; two brothers, Louie Mullins of Konawa, Okla., and Bennie Don Mullins of Denver; seven grandchildren, Tracy, Austin, Ashley, Jamespaul, Jason, Brigon and Tiffany; and a great-grandchild, Lupe.

The family suggests memorials be to Temple Baptist Church Building Fund, 311 N. Maddox St., Dumas, TX 79029.
