Stephen Harvey Barker
June 6, 1960 ~ August 24, 2019

Stephen Harvey Barker, 59, of Copan, Oklahoma, died Saturday, August 24, 2019 at St. John Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Stephen was born June 6, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Samuel Henry and Mavis Marlene (Gilstrap) Barker. He was a high school graduate and did attend some college.

He worked as a machinist for Parmac LLC in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Stephen was married to Terri (Montague) Barker on December 31, 2004. His greatest accomplishments in life were his children, MaKayla RayLynne and Samuel James.

He enjoyed blacksmithing, animals, stationary engines, reading and collecting antique tools (especially metal working and wood working).

Stephen loved his family and his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Barker and infant sister Debra Lynne Barker.

He is survived by his wife Terri, daughter MaKayla and son Samuel, all of the home; stepdaughter Diana DeJonge of Lakewood, Colorado; mother Marlene Barker of Cherryvale, Kansas; brother John Barker and wife Teresa of Cherryvale, Kansas; mother In law Ramona Montague of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Trina Jordan and husband Tom of Nowata, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Cherie and husband Dennis Howerton of Delaware, Oklahoma; brother-in-law Marty and wife Teresa Montague of Soble, Oklahoma and a host of nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm, August 28, 2019 at Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Nowata, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2pm at Word of Truth Fellowship Church at 16097 NE Bison Rd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to a scholarship fund for Stephens children. This can be made to “Steve Barker Kid's College Fund” at Welch State Bank at
