LONNIE RAY BARKER - Memorial services for Lonnie Ray Barker, 58, of Marietta were conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the New Beginning Church, Marietta, with Ivan Poulter officiating. Services were held in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Mount Olive Funeral Home on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Born October 23, 1941, in Brownwood, Texas, Mr. Barker died January 9, 2000. He was the son of Clarence & Edna Barker.
Mr. Barker grew up in Fort Worth and worked at General Motors of Arlington, Texas, until his retirement in 1992. He had made his home in Marietta since retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Elisabeth Barker; three sons, Billy, Ronnie and Lonnie Ray Barker; daughter, Donna Barber; two sisters, Patricia Meyer and Lena Barker; two brothers, Travis and Dean Barker; five grandchildren, Daniel Barker, and Catrina, Robby, Rebecca and Natile Barber; and numerous other friends and relatives.
Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bobby Barker. Local arrangements were by Kennedy Funeral Home.
