Steven Eugene Banse

Dec. 11, 1962 ~ May 28, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve Banse. Father, youngest brother, uncle and friend. Steve was a man of conviction and lived his life adhering to an inner code of fairness, loyalty and honesty. Obstacles were met head-on, and he viewed his most recent challenges as "the hand he was dealt."

Steve Banse came into this world on Dec. 11, 1962, born in Enid to Darrel and Patricia Banse. Steve passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at home after a long, hard-fought battle to stay with us. He attended Enid High School, during which he excelled at playing football and was known as the "Sacker" for his ability to penetrate defenses and crush opposing quarterbacks. After graduation in 1981 Steve worked in a variety of fields until starting his 25-year career with Anheuser-Busch. He married Terri Sanders in 1990 and they had a son, Steven Kyle.

Steve leaves behind his son Steven; fianc'e, Sarah; and cherished granddaughter, Skye; his brother, Greg and wife, Karen of Enid; sister, Sherri and husband Lance, of Geneva, Switzerland; brother, Scott of the home; niece, Cati Harris and nephew, Braden Marklinger; his beloved Bubba dog, as well as many extended family and dear friends.

A come-and-go gathering for Steve will be held 4-8 p.m. today, May 30, 2015, at the family home. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Circle of Love or the Enid SPCA with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the fund.

To a life well-lived - sweet dreams, Steve.
