November 3, 1988 ~ October 2, 2017 (age 28)

Cris Lynn Bankston was born November 3, 1988 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Sharon and Lyndon Ray Bankston. He passed away October 2, 2017 at Elk City, Oklahoma at the age of 28 years, 10 months and 29 days.

Cris grew up and attended schools in Elk City, graduating in 2008. It was during this time he began working at Taco Factory, United, was a ranch hand for Tubby Deal, Spivey's and even started his own lawn care service with Walton Hubbard. After graduation he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University to further his education. Throughout Cris’ life he loved to work and be active but was eventually limited due to cystic fibrosis. He loved playing video games, playing pool, hunting, fishing, reading and playing baseball, football, basketball and soccer. Cris was also a member of the National Honor Society, listed in the National Honor Society's Book of Achievements and was one of the top 2 in the Flight Academy School.

He was preceded in death by uncle, Billy Carrol Bankston, 2 grandmothers, Mary Burt and Anna Bankston.

He is survived by his father, Lenny Bankston, Elk City, OK; mother, Sharon Shelly, Rock Hill, SC; his girls (his chocolate labs), Ever and Happy; grandparents, Carrol and Linda Bankston, Elk City, OK; cousin, Grant Bankston, Aspen, CO; step-mother, Donna Sue Randell, Elk City, OK and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to Whinery-Savage Funeral Service in Cris' name.
