KaVauzie Augusta Banks

KaVauzie Augusta Banks
August 16, 1997 ~ June 19, 2021 (age 23)

KaVauzie Augusta Banks was born on August 16, 1997, KaVauzie confessed her life to Christ at an early age. She was baptized and placed her membership at Western Hills Church of Christ.

She attended MacArthur Middles School and MacArthur High School for several years. She graduated from Central High School in Marlow, Oklahoma. KaVauzie was the first Black member of the Central High Cheerleading Team and the first Black officer of the FFA in Central High history. She ran her first marathon in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 16 and won for her age group (Something her dad always dreamed of doing). She continued her education at Langston University and later Cameron University, majoring in Music Art. KaVauzie was an exceptional Violinist and loved to dance and sing.

She had a smile that could light up any room she entered. She was fiercely loyal to her friends. She was very much the social butterfly and never met a stranger. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

Most of all KaVauzie’s Pride and Joy was her son, NirVaun. He was the love of her life and the love they shared for each other was amazing. The special bond she had with her sister, Shamayam, brothers, Ronnie and Lazaugn, cousin, Deion, Aunt Angie, Aunt Shavauna and best friend Briana was unbreakable. She loved them to the moon and back and spent many hours making memories with them. When you think of KaVauzie, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and Ian Jones, the father of her son.

She leaves to Cherish her memories and Celebrate her life: her son, NirVaun Jones; parents, Troy and Pam Banks; sister, Shamayam Banks; brothers, Ronnie Johnson of Lawton, Oklahoma, LaZaugn Jackson of Lawton, Oklahoma, Nathan Banks of Dallas, Texas, Curtis Banks (Desi) of Italy, and TJ Banks (Meredith) of Fort Worth, Texas; two nieces, of Ft.
