He started elementary school in Sudan, TX, before moving to Chickasha, OK. Later, he moved to Cement, OK where the family operated a dairy farm. Mike’s very strong work ethic began at an early age during these moves. Mike graduated from Fletcher High School with the Class of 1968. Mike was a very hardworking and successful self-made businessman. On November 6, 2004, Mike married Misty Dawn Pratt and took up residence in Gage, OK.

Mike enjoyed going to basketball games, livestock shows, church group trips, and fishing. He spent much time working in his garden and tending to his livestock. In more recent years his garden consisted of tomatoes, but nonetheless he enjoyed growing them. Mike enjoyed his trips to Arizona with Misty and their grandkids. He was better known by all his grandkids as Pa.
