Joseph Balsiger

December 22, 1937 ~ December 27, 2010

Joseph Balsiger, 73, passed away December 27, 2010. He was born December 22, 1937 in Guthrie, OK to Ernest and Mary Balsiger.

Joseph was a life-time Guthrie resident and business owner and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Chappell Balsiger; two children, Cathie Cordis and Kenton Balsiger and wife, Amy; a brother, Orval Balsiger and sister-in-law Judith Chappell Balsiger; sister Ada Belle Elder; and four grandchildren, Kyle and Kristen Cordis and Madeline and Silas Balsiger, all of Guthrie.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 224 E. Noble, Guthrie. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the memorial fund at The First United Methodist Church.
