Bert Balsam

Bert Balsam
April 30, 1937 ~ September 10, 2021

Bert Balsam, age 84, of Bartlesville passed away Friday, September 10, 2021, in Bartlesville, OK.

George Bartholomew “Bert” Balsam was born April 30, 1937, to Valentino Nello and Bada (Bidwell) Balsam and was raised in Little Rock, AR. He graduated Catholic High School in Little Rock then for four years proudly served his country in the US Air Force.

Bert married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann Watson on February 10, 1959. They were happily married for 43 years. Elizabeth passed away in May 2002.

With his mechanical background, Bert enjoyed building and fixing things which included rebuilding car engines. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends.

Bert is survived by two of his three children: Kathy O’Bannon and Alan Balsam. He was proceeded in death by Tracy Balsam (July 2019). He was blessed with six grandchildren: Lindsay (Travis) Newton, Ryan (Jani) O’Bannon, Jessica (Jared) Barr, Cat Balsam, Grace Balsam and Kristina (Tim) Treadwell.

Bert will be remembered as a family man who was a home body that liked to “tinker” with stuff around the house.

No formal services are planned. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the Davis Family Funeral Home & Crematory – Walker Brown Chapel. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared at www.DavisFamilyFuneralHome.com.
