Loriann Ballard, 57, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Loriann was born on Monday, January 24, 1966, in Okemah, Oklahoma to Earnest Turner and NellyMarie Embery. She grew up and attended school in Boley, Oklahoma. Loriann married Michael Ballard on January 19, 2005. He preceded her in death in 2015.
Loriann made her life’s work as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking. Her specialties were cooking soul food and fish. She also enjoyed listening to the Blues. Most importantly, Loriann was a loving and caring person who took great pride in taking care of her family.
Loriann was preceded in death by her mother, NellyMarie Embrey; her father, Earnest Turner; a sister, Pricilla Embery; brother, Robert Lee Wallace Jr.; her husband, Michael Lynn Ballard Sr.; a grandson, DenTreal Embery; and a nephew, Keith Redd.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Sarah Embery, and Dietra Gibson; daughters, Charlesetta Nelson, Mikala Ballard, and Sharmetra Ballard; sons, Deshawn Wilkins, Roshawn Wilkins, Michael Ballard Jr., and Lorenzo Ballard; daughter-in-law, Christina Wilkins; grandsons, Marquas Hawkins, Malichi Wilkins, DeMarion Nelson, LaTreal Embrey, Kevin Kirkendoll, Julius Wilkins, Kendrick, Wilkins, Derrick Wilkins, and Bentley Wilkins; granddaughters, Ashanta Morrison, Ayrihanna Wilkins, and Zariah Ballard; as well as a host of other family members and friends.
