Mr. Eddie Dean Ballard, 62, of Delaware, Oklahoma and formerly of Bartlesville, died at 1:16 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.

Funeral services for Mr. Ballard will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville with Pastor Brian Fuller of the Truth Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Bartlesville officiating.

Public visitation for Mr. Ballard will be held at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 9 A. M. until 9 P.M. each day.

Mr. Ballard was born in Bartlesville on November 9, 1951 to Jesse C. and Grace M. (Harding) Ballard. He grew up and received his education in Bartlesville and then furthered his education at Tri County Tech. He was employed with Reda Pump in Bartlesville for a number of years and also at Central States Printing in Dewey. He had also been active as a union electrician and as a truck driver for Jack Hadley Construction and H & S Field Service. In recent years he has worked as a truck driver for the Team Power Group until his recent illness. He was married to Norma Jean Green on January 11, 1984 in Independence, Kansas. They made their home in Bartlesville until moving to Delaware in July of 2002. He Liked to ride and take care of horses and keeping busy doing farm work.

Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Ballard of the home, five children, John Clark Panther of Bartlesville, Rebecca Panther of Bartlesville, Lilly Billbe and companion Tyson Cole of Nowata, and Rayden Ballard and Quinton Ballard both of Delaware, one brother, Mickey Ballard and wife Peggy of Dewey, two sisters, Jessie Payne and husband Ed of Owasso and Connie Erwin of Tulsa, his step mother, Virginia Byrd of Bartlesville, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three grandchildren.
