Geraldine "Gerri" (Peters) Ball
December 3, 1943 ~ December 23, 2020

Gerri Ball, 77 year old Enid resident, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Enid. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Garland Road Baptist Church in Enid. Masks will be required at the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home, Woodward.

Geraldine (Peters) Ball was born on December 3, 1943 to Walter and Verna (Ayer) Peters in Newton, Kansas. Gerri attended school in Newton and graduated from Newton High School. She went to work for Santa Fe/ BNSF Railroad and continued working there for 33 years until her retirement. She was united in marriage to Leonard Ball on April 22, 1995 in Topeka, Kansas. They made their first home in Topeka before moving to Enid, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the Garland Road Baptist Church in Enid. Gerri enjoyed needlework, crocheting, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Gerri loved just being together and traveling.

She is survived by her husband Leonard Ball of the home; daughters: Jennifer Besse, Connie Hinderliter and husband Kevin; sons: Jim Ball and wife Heather, Doug Ball; one sister, Joyce Willis; 12 grandchildren: Cayden Besse, Jo Besse, Jaydi Besse, Jensen Besse, Jostyn Besse, Michael Ball, Heather Murry, Shawn Hinderliter, Scott Ball, Ali Powell, Lori Ball-Maines, Josh Mullins, and Marty Mullins; three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Verna Peters, two brothers, Laverne Peters, Melvin Peters, and three sisters, Gladys Love, Loraine Cain and Judi Block.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Garland Road Baptist Church with the Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Avenue, Woodward, OK. 73801 accepting the contributions.
