LeRoy Baldridge of Bakersfield left Gods green earth on March 4, 2005, in Bakersfield, at the age of 75. At his humble request no services will be held.
LeRoy was born in Tuttle, Oklahoma on November 10, 1929. Following his familys move to Arvin, California in the early 1930s LeRoy lived most of his life in Bakersfield, California. He was very proud of serving his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force as a young man at the end of WWII. After his military service he married and started a family while continuing to serve his country working in the Aeronautics industry and eventually became a senior manager in the Military Facilities construction industry. Following that he enjoyed several successful professions, raised two fine families and was always a good provider, father, friend and counselor.
LeRoy was sadly preceded in passing by his beloved son, Dale, his first wife, Leona, and his brother, Paul. He is survived by brother, Richard and wife, Donna; sister-in-law, Beverly; his sons, David and wife, Nancy, Larry and wife, Laurene, and Gordon and wife, Toni; his daughters, Lorna and husband, Gary, Doreen and husband, Neal, Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Laura; his second wife, Claire; fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and friends that loved and adored him dearly.
The world is full of wondrous things, LeRoy was one of those precious things. He made a difference in many lives and will be remembered as a strong and courageous man. His loved ones were the joy and pride of his life. He taught us all to enjoy the dark and the light, the storm and the sun. Thanks Dad, we honor you, and we live by and appreciate the values you taught us.
