Mr. Domenic Joseph "Don" Baldrachi, 97, of Dewey, died Wednesday morning, March 30, 2016.
Services for Mr. Baldrachi will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Matoaka Baptist Church, south of Bartlesville with Pastor Sherman Jaquess officiating and under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Mr. Baldrachi was born at Syracuse, New York on September 24, 1918 to Domenic and Edith (Maestri) Baldrachi. He grew up and received his education in New York until entering the United States Army in 1940. He served in the Pacific Theatre during World War II as a combat engineer and received his Honorable Discharge at Washington, D.C in 1945. He then made his home in various locations such as New York, Michigan and California until moving to the Bartlesville area in 1954. He was active as a painter until his retirement. He liked to fish and his Dashhund dogs.
Survivors, Michael Baldrachi and wife Sue of Bartlesville, one daughter, Donna Simmons and husband Larry of Clarkston, Washington, one sister Mary Norris of Waterloo, New York, five grandchildren, Lisa Barnes, Ryan Baldrachi, Tara Everheart, Marty Patzkowski and Phillip Patzkowski, and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
